"Star Student" Program
The Star Student Award Program resumes for the eighth year. WCCU, KUMV-TV and KQCD-TV, are proud to recognize students who aspire to greatness through academic achievement and non-athletic extra curricular activities.
Monthly recipients receive a Certificate of Merit, a $50 United States Savings Bond, a Star Student Trophy and an Applebee's Gift Certificate. KUMV and KQCD also prepare a short television story on each recipient, which is shown throughout the month they are chosen. Anyone can nominate a student in grades 7-12, from the KUMV or KQCD viewing area. Nominees do not have to be members of WCCU. Nomination forms are available at all WCCU offices, as well as television stations.

2011 Tax Information and IRA Contributions
Included in your 2011 year-end statement is the information you will need to complete your 2011 tax return. Please retain this statement for tax purposes. This information is also available on NetTeller at www.wccu.org. Tax forms 1098 and 1099 will be mailed by February 1, 2012.
IRA contributions for 2011 can be made until April 15, 2012. When signing your contribution form, you must indicate which year the deposit is designated.
College Scholarships for High School Seniors!
CUSucceed Teen Financial Network Club Scholarships
If you are a member of Western Cooperative Credit Union's CUSucceed Teen Financial Network Club, you are eligible to apply for one of SEVEN $500.00 college scholarships.

Dakota's Credit Union High School Financial Scholarships
Credit Union Association of the Dakotas will award five $500 scholarships for applicants that exemplify the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" through volunteering, community service, and leadership. Scholarships will be awarded upon the successful completion of the first semester of college.
Applications must be postmarked by March 23, 2012 and sent to the address in the brochure.
